League Format
- The object of the league is to strive to get to the top of the ladder.
- Players compete as individuals.
- 16 players ranked from 1 to 16, divided into 4 boxes with 4 players in each.
- Players compete against each person within their designated box during the next three weeks.
- Results are tabulated and the top player in each box moves up and the bottom player moves down.
- Play continues for the next three weeks and so on.
- Benefits: Every three weeks the composition of the boxes is different, which adds interest. There is excitement trying to rise up the ladder. A player who does not show up for a match will only hurt himself/herself.
- Matches will be 40 minutes in duration with 5 min. between, for a warm-up.
- Winners will ref the next match.
- Matches will be the best of 5. Games are to 15 – point a rally.
- Players may get a sub, but only as a courtesy to give their opponents a match. The absent player will automatically default.
- If a player does not show up twice in a row and does not arrange for a sub he/she will be replaced.
- If a sub wishes to join the Ladder League he/she must wait till there is an opening.
- The schedule will be simple to follow. Employees at the front desk will be given a schedule and members who have forgotten their game time may phone to get their starting time from the front desk.
- Match times: 6:00 – 6:40, 6:45 – 7:25, 7:30 – 8:10, 8:15 – 8:55
